Hyde Park

June 7th, 2005

Hyde Park is a peculiar masses’ phenomenon, especially on a sunny Sunday. Literally crowds of people head there for a relaxing picnic, football game and/or afternoon nap. Appropriately referred to as London’s personal space, it’s a good place to completely disconnect from the chaotic and stressing city. You can row, watch the wildlife, ride a horse, skate or, my favorite, drop by the so called Speaker’s Corner, where random people stand up in a stool and speak on any subject they want to. They say some famous people have attended meetings there, including Marx and Lenin.
