The difference between the genetic code of one person and another is less than 0.0003% – hard to believe when looking at Arnold Schwarzenegger alongside British comedian Rowan Atkinson. In a world dominated by individuals and market forces such differences are amplified. IQ may only account for less than one tenth of the variance in most studies on what determines the success of people, but it still separates.

Another quote from the same book: “Some people will seek to protect or even recreate what no longer is – a world with closed geographical borders, traditional family values for all, mandatory visits to the temple, lifetime employment, etc. What they fail to understand, however, is that no matter what they do, the future belongs to individual institutional innovators rather than fanatic fundamentalists. Power is being transferred from the rule-takers to the rule-breakers and the rule-makers.”
