Madrid – Paris

Time to leave. I’m going on Vacation for a long week. Will try to avoid cybercafes and any kind of technology, excluding my camera. Be back with a Parisian photo gallery :)

Ooops! I almost forget to take an umbrella with me, he he…

p.s. Andalucia rulez!

Did the battlestar ever reach Earth?

This is the first shot taken with my brand new camera. Technology goes really fast, and things have changed a lot since I bought my -now broken- Canon Digital IXUS. I couldn’t go to Paris without a camera, so I had to decide about a brand/model in a matter of days. By the way… did I tell you I’m going to Paris? I take the flight in 30 hours and will spend a very long weekend there. I’d rather start understanding the difference between fish and poison.

Molto saporito!

Carpaccio is a nice Italian restaurant in the north of Madrid. Haven’t you ever wanted to taste gnocchi filled with cheese and covered by a thin layer of pesto sauce. I tried it some days ago together with Antonio, Guillermo, Gema and Ana.

Solaris – The movie

I went to see Solaris yesterday, errrrr… I mean Solaris. It has many thousands negative critics, but I liked it. And I liked it a lot, especially Jeremy Davis’ role. Overally, it’s quite an insightful movie, although it’s true it may get too slow in some scenes. Undoubtlessly, much better than Daredevil – that’s if you don’t like comics!

Quote of the day

“You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, France is accusing the US of arrogance, and Germany doesn’t want to go to war.”

Worrying

I just got a letter from the Swedish government informing about my elegibility for a retirement pension. Something that made me worry… do I really look like needing one?

Madrid 2012

A bunch of well known architects such as Jean Nouvel, Alejandro Zaera, Álvaro Siza, Dominique Perrault, Cruz y Ortiz, Richard Rogers, David Chipperfield and Jacob van Rijs have recently presented innovative projects for the needed facial cleaning that is going to be performed in Madrid in the next years. One of the most ambitious plans, known as Madrid Arena, is to build the four tallest skyscrapers in the city.
