My next trip

Bocaray is the number one tourist destination of the Philippines, and within the top 10 tropical beaches in the world. Shallow water, bright sand, nice weather… I will have to add this to my to do list.

On the other hand, a return ticket to Bora Bora is no less than €5100. Should I keep on dreaming?

Guinness

Did you know that what you call beer is indeed a lager. In Ireland they have the impression that Spanish people (and Europeans in general) have no clue about what a nice pint tastes like. Maybe they’re right. And this is actually a good excuse for visiting the Guinness Storehouse and starting your ale training.

Yet another demonstration

This morning some hundred thousand people went out to the streets to complain about the way in which the government handled the Prestige‘s catastrophe.

Fancy another demo next weekend? ;)

These Dubliners…

Bullocks Bus… nice name for a bus company. Of course, this could only happen in Dublin. Would you ever get into a bus with a huge pink bullocks printed on it? I actually did… and survived!

p.s. I’m looking for a flat in Madrid, do you know about a good deal?

Admit One

Vinopolis is London’s wine tasting attraction. For anyone who enjoys a glass of wine. A splendid tour of tastes, cultures and history. Have some exotic sips of Australian -or even Chinese- wine! (this supposing you happen to be in London…)

War? No, thanks!

I couldn’t resist uploading this imaginative poster by Luis.

Help stop crazy Uncle Bush taking us to a War with no meaning (apart from oil).

Demonstration against War

About one million people went out to the streets as part of an immense demonstration in a number of cities in Spain. Eighty percent of the population here in Spain is against War. I wonder how a government can ignore this striking response. Especially a government which has been democratically chosen. The same happens in many other countries in Europe. After the event we had some drinks and tapas! The people in the photos are Sandra, Laura and Pepe.

p.s. Luis, your photo has disappeared from the camera :-/

Ode to my camera

My beloved Canon Digital IXUS camera died yesterday. Many could point out that its life was cut short. But after more than two years, and 10484 pictures (an average of 13,3 shots per day), it has beaten all the odds. Its memory and legacy will live on forever in our hearts (and of course, in osierra.com). We will miss it terribly and hold its memory dear.
