New section!

It’s the last day of the month (pinch punch etc.) and I want to celebrate it with a new section. This time it’ll be about movies. More concretely, about the movies I’ve seen in the cinema since 1996 or so. I’ve been storing all those useless tickets and I came up with the idea of setting a database with all the info about the exact date and the theater where I saw each of them. The statistics show that I go once a week on average and that my favorite genre is drama (?!).

Jordi Stone

Jordi came to a concert by The Cranberries at Madrid last Monday. As you could expect, we had a caña and bocadillo de calamares in the Plaza Mayor. It was nice to see him after more than one year with no news about his life…

Tasty Vienna

Although sometime ago I spent one day at Salzburg, I’ve never been in Vienna. It’s in my must-see list… have always wanted to check if there are really no kangaroos in Austria ;) Vienna was once the heart of the Habsburg empire, which also covered most of Spain. The city is known for its beautiful gothic church, the Stephansdom or -more commonly- Der alte Steffl (Old Steve, in English).

Picasso’s bday

Pablo Picasso was born October 25, 1881 in Malaga (Spain). I will never stop admiring the Guernica, which is treasured at the Museo de Arte Reina Sofía. It is considered to be the most powerful invective against violence in modern art. I’ve seen it twice this month already. Just impressive.
