Bend it like Beckham
September 26th, 2002
| The best British comedy since Bridget Jones’s Diary. You confirm it by just reading the tagline: “Who wants to cook Aloo Gobi when you can bend a ball like Beckham?”. Bend it like Beckham is about a young Indian girl -Jess- who’s addicted to playing football. Her dream is to play like Beckham (Manchester United’s real-life star). But the movie is not addressed to football fans. On the contrary, it’s more about how life with parents is and how different cultures clash. | ![]() |
Now listening…
Bina Mistry - Hot hot hot
(from Bend it like Beckham OST… especially recommended!)

By popular demand… I post the lyrics here:
Bina Mistry - “Hot Hot Hot”
***************************
Yahan dulha hai
Barathee hai
(Feeling hot hot hot)
Ab kaniya kyon nahati hai
(Feeling hot hot hot)
Are Auntie ko chilao, kaniya ko bhi bulao
Yeh to hai badi mushkil
Dekho tute na dulha ka dil
Kuch gadbad hai
Kuch gadbad hai
Olé Olé, Olé Olé
Olé Olé, Olé Olé
Sab doondho
Sab doondho
Feeling hot hot hot
Feeling hot hot hot
How you feeling ?
(Hot hot hot)
How you feeling ?
(Hot hot hot)
How you feeling ?
(Hot hot hot)
Beta iska to gora hai
(Feeling hot hot hot)
Papa iska kyon kala hai
(Feeling hot hot hot)
Na Na Na Na pucho na aise baath
Chale jayegi yeh barat
Yahan gadbad ghotala hai
Baby daal mein kala hai
Kuch gadbad hai
Kuch gadbad hai
Olé Olé, Olé Olé
Olé Olé, Olé Olé
Feeling hot hot hot
Feeling hot hot hot
Olé Olé, Olé Olé
Olé Olé, Olé Olé
Feeling hot hot hot
Feeling hot hot hot
Olé Olé, Olé Olé
Olé Olé, Olé Olé

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! We’ve been searching the web world and finally found the lyrics to “Hot hot hot.” We bought the dvd and it is just wonderful. We enjoy movies, programs, etc. where we can experience “life” from different cultural backgrounds. BTW, the lyrics in english can be found at different lyric websites. I found several by entering “hot hot hot lyrics” in a GOOGLE search. The original song is latin/caribbean. We enjoy Bina Mistry’s version the best.

Many thanks from me as well for the lyrics. Now, who has the English translation?!
15. Andy | November 29th, 2004 at 8:13
So here is the literal translation of this cute song.
The groom is here
and so are his guests feeling ….
Why does not the girl turn up feeling…
Yell for Auntie, do call the girl too
There seems to be a bit of a problem here
Make sure the groom’s heart does not break
There’s something Not quite right.
There is something not quite right.
Everybody search
Everybody search ole ole etc
Her son is quite fair.feeling..
When his father is really dark feeling.
No no no no don’t ask such a question
Or the guests will return.
There is something not quite right here.
There’s a skeleton in the closet (literal translation. Gadbadghotala is the literal slang for something not quite right. The girl’s family members wanna know how the boy is so fair when his pop is dusky.Others are telling them to shush up because the offended guests from the boys side are quite capable of going back without the ceremony being conducted! The girl also did not turn up in the first para!)
Ole ole and all that jazz, feelin hot hot hot. Anyone wants a translation of the Punjabi songs, do contact me. Ole ole ole ole.
Adios.

Eric,
I’ll check the movie this evening and will get back to you tomorrow if I know the answer!
22. Oscar | February 3rd, 2005 at 21:02
Hey Eric, I think you’re looking for “Nessun Dorma”, by Giacomo Puccini. The version in the movie is performed by Tito Beltran, The City of Prague Philharmonic and The Crouch End Festival Chorus. Best, Oscar.

Bend it like Beckham: “Hot Hot Hot”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhW-Sk8O1u4
Hot Hot Hot - Buster Poindexter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nveyqopdYEI
Buster used to be in the New York Dolls in the 70’s (they were one of the inspirations for punk). The song was never a big hit, but became a classic party tune, a favourite for wedding and cruise ship discos, probably because of it’s simple rhythm, and sing-along style gives it broad appeal.
48. hiten | November 13th, 2007 at 19:26
Hi does anyone know the song played just after the wedding, when they like in a line/ train and going forward. its like an instrumental. please help… send email to hiten.daya@yahoo.com
